The Royal Greenwich Market

Greenwich Market steeped in Royal history when it first opened on the 3rd of September 1737 with around 60 stallholders. Most were butchers with only one grocer, one baker and one hater!

It wasn’t until 1985 that the first ‘arts and crafts’ marked opened. This change was phenomenal and today Greenwich is a hot spot for those looking for quirky and bespoke craft products.

Greenwich market is owned and run by Greenwich Hospital, the oldest Navy charity. They provide charitable support to all serving and retired personnel from the Royal Navy and Marines.

CWJ London has recently started running a stall once a week at Greenwich market and we have thoroughly enjoyed showcasing our work at such a renowned market. Greenwich traders are extremely welcoming and it is fascinating to be able to learn about other trades. The area which we have enjoyed the most is being able to interact with our customers, learning what they love about our products and being able to explain a little bit more about us and our designs.

Please pop down and visit us, this week will be at Greenwich on Saturday 15th from 10am- 5pm. Why not come and treat your loved one this valentine? To ensure you never miss us at the market, make sure you’re on our mailing list as we will keep you posted with updates and our latest locations!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
