The Brand
CWJ London is a small and local leather accessory company. All products are designed and made inhouse by owner & founder Charlotte Whittles-Jackson, giving a personal touch to the brand. At CWJ London we design with diabetes at the forefront, and as a brand we are dedicated to slow fashion. We are constantly developing more sustainable ways. Our products are hand-crafted unique, one-off pieces made at our home studio in Surrey.

The concept of the brand all started while Charlotte was studying Cordwainer’s Fashion Bags & Accessories at London college of fashion. She had recently been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and it all suddenly felt like it was meant to be. Charlotte was learning about designing, developing and making bags and was also facing the new dilemma of trying to fit her diabetic equipment into different bags.
CWJ London is a brand that first and full most wants to design with and for diabetic equipment. With this in mind the brand has a real interest in the pioneering research into further treatments and cures. Therefore 10% of CWJ London’s’ ‘Type 1’ Cardholders profit is donated to Diabetes UK.

Charlotte is passionate about the bags being an investment and not being part of the throwaway fast fashion industry. This is why we work to a 'made to order' system to ensure the products are exactly what you want. We have a very limited amount of pre-made stock, which are produced for our local markets.
As the environment and slow fashion is major part of our brands ethos, we have a 'Buy it Back' scheme. This is where we buy back any CWJ London products and in return give our clients a CWJ voucher to spend on something new. We are trying to create a circular economy and help to prevent unnecessary waste. We know that everyone wants to change up their style sometimes and that is why we decided to started the buy it back scheme (find out more here).

Charlotte created this brand for all, Men, Women, Children, people with or without medical needs. CWJ London is for everyone.
We have our new vegan range, made from a variety of faux leather and PVC materials. Although we have a specific vegan range we pride ourselves on making products for our clients. so if you see a product but want it made vegan, just send us a message and we will go from there!
We produce all our final products at our studio and source all materials locally with our leather sourced just down the road in West Sussex.

As form and function are both very important to us the design and development process is extremely diligent to make sure that all details have been perfected before going forward to production.

We then sample in house at our studio testing and fine- tuning the construction, silhouette, colours and materials before product testing, to make sure the products are not only beautiful but most importantly meet our function specifications.
